(CNSNews.com) -- The Biden Administration is engaging in "institutionalized child abuse" by encouraging children to transition genders, Walt Heyer, who was formerly transgender, argued to Fox News host Laura Ingraham Thursday.
Ingraham invited Heyer, who was born a biological male, transitioned to female at the age of 17, and then detransitioned some years later, on The Ingraham Angle to share his regret of transitioning along with addressing the consequences of parents and the government encouraging children to transition.
“This is institutionalized child abuse; they’re working on destroying an entire generation of children," Heyer told Ingraham. "None of these children need hormone blockers, they don’t need to transition. One of the things that nobody ever seems to talk about is this one word called 'consequences.'"
"I’m sitting here because I started cross-dressing at the age of four and I can tell you that that caused me emotional, psychological, and eventually it became a sexual child abuse. And so, when parents are having children do this or entertaining the idea of doing it, they’re actually engaging in child abuse. Now we have the government's actually promoting institutionalized child abuse. It’s destroying children, it’s destroying families, and it's actually destroying much of society today; this is really insane. And here’s the thing, no one yet, in history, has ever -- no doctor, no surgeon, no hormones -- has ever been able to effect a change of gender biologically in anyone. It’s not possible."

Laura Ingraham: “Our next guest has a warning for those who are pushing this on adolescents and young children. He’d know because he spent eight years as a woman starting when he was 17. Joining us now is Walt Heyer, he’s the founder of sexchangeregret.com and the author of the book, 'Trans Life Survivors.' Walt, your message to the Biden Administration tonight.”
Walt Heyer: “Yeah. This is institutionalized child abuse; they’re working on destroying an entire generation of children. None of these children need hormone blockers, they don’t need to transition. Nobody can change their gender; they can change their persona, but they can’t change their gender –”
Ingraham: “Well, their sex, yeah."
Heyer: "-- so we're actually --"
Ingraham: "They call it gender–”
Heyer: “You can’t.”
Ingraham: “They can’t change their sex, yeah. Now, Walt --"
Heyer: "Right."
Ingraham: "What they often do is cite a study of studies and this was published recently that said that ‘Well, there are very few people who really have regrets,’ but then at the end of that meta study they say, ‘Well, but this is quite subjective.’ So I’m not sure how beneficial that conclusion is that there are very few people with regrets, but what do you say to that?”
Heyer: “Well, my website, sexchangeregret, I have over 10,000 emails in my inbox in the last 10 years. My website’s gotten well over two million -- three million views. I’m working with people every day who write me and say, in anywhere from three weeks all the way up to 40 years after going through these procedures, they say, ‘I just found – I just realized that they didn’t change my gender. All they did was ruin my life. Can you help me detransition?’ And earlier in this month, they had a detransition day, a worldwide detransition day because now detransitioning is becoming almost equally as popular as transitioning. And the Biden Administration should take a cue from this and stop pushing this stuff on children. This is absolute insanity and it really needs to stop.”
