“You don’t need a gov’t mandate to be a paranoid recluse,” conservative commentator Candace Owens counsels “leftists crying because Texas and Mississippi have announced they will resume freedom” by abolishing mask mandates and reopening businesses.
On Tuesday, Owens took to Twitter to cheer the news that the two states have ended their oppressive coronavirus restrictions, noting that Democrat-run states are free to remain communist “enslaved hell holes”:
“God Bless Texas and Mississippi. All other red states must follow. Republicans must lead by example. Allow blue states to remain the depressive, impoverished, enslaved hell holes that their communist leaders have created. Freedom-loving Americans will flee.”
When Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted that he considers the move by Texas “Absolutely reckless,” Owens responded by reminding him that droves of Californians are relocating to Texas – and that a movement to recall him from office is gaining momentum:
“Texas is so reckless that all of your citizens are fleeing to that state and #RecallGavinNewsom is trending. Maybe take a hint.”
Owens followed up by telling “all the leftists crying” about how the two states are resuming freedom that they don’t have to stop wearing masks and hiding out in their homes, just because the government decrees have been lifted.
“You don’t need a government mandate to be a paranoid recluse,” Owens writes:
“To all the leftists crying because Texas and Mississippi have announced they will resume FREEDOM— did you know that you are still welcome to stay in your home all day and double mask? You don’t need a government mandate to be a paranoid recluse.”
If masks actually are effective, then “The lock-us-down-forever folk should continue to wear them” – and if they aren’t, they should never have been instituted, Owens concluded:
“Either masks work or they don’t work, but it can’t be both. If they do work then the lock-us-down-forever folk should continue to wear them and thus be protected from everyone else. If masks don’t work, then why the hell were they ever mandated in the first place?”
