Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz says he’s got a “Win-Win” idea of how to fund a reported Biden Administration plan to give $450,000 to illegal immigrants separated from their children at the border.
As CNSNews.com reported on Thursday, President Joe Biden denied the plan on Wednesday – prompting the ACLU to respond with a press statement suggesting that Biden was not aware of the proposal being considered by his own administration:
"That's not going to happen," President Joe Biden said on Wednesday, when a reporter asked him about reports that his administration plans to pay $450,000 each to illegal immigrants separated from their children at the border during the Trump administration.
“In response, the American Civil Liberties Union said, ‘President Biden may not have been fully briefed about the actions of his very own Justice Department as it carefully deliberated and considered the crimes committed against thousands of families separated from their children as an intentional governmental policy.’”
On Thursday Sen. Cruz tweeted a proposal that he says is the “perfect solution”: give each illegal immigrant a painting created by the president’s son, Hunter:
So @JoeBiden wants to give $450k to every illegal immigrant.
And Hunter Biden paintings “sell” for $500k each.
Perfect solution: give a Hunter Biden painting to every illegal immigrant.
