The U.S. is experiencing three conditions that that make President Joe Biden the new incarnation of former Democrat President Jimmy Carter, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) says.

“Joe Biden is the new Jimmy Carter,” Jordan tweeted Monday, citing higher taxes, rising gas prices and “stagnation” (inflation during a period of stagnant economy and employment).

“2021 meet 1979,” Jordan wrote.

“Prices are rising everywhere you look,” Rep. Jordan wrote in a tweet earlier in the day, quoting a CNN headline and citing several examples:

Prices are rising everywhere you look

-Diapers

-Lumber

-Cars -Gas

-Cheese

President Biden’s answer? Higher taxes, which will drive up prices even more!

Jimmy Carter was a one-term president who served from 1977 to 1981.
