While Democrats claim to be the party of science, regarding issues ranging from climate change to COVID, their embrace of gender ideology over biology suggests otherwise, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) says.

“It’s hard to take the ‘party of science’ seriously when they think men can get pregnant,” Rep. Jordan, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, tweeted on Tuesday.

“Reminder,” House Judiciary Republicans tweeted Tuesday, sharing video from a hearing on abortion last May 18, in which a Democrat witness testified that men can become pregnant and have abortions.

Testifying at a House Judiciary Committee hearing examining abortion access and services in the U.S., the executive director of an abortion advocacy organization testified that men can, indeed, become pregnant and have abortions.

Aimee Arrambide, Executive Director of Avow, a Texas-based organization devoted to “securing unrestricted abortion care and reproductive rights,” was first asked by Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) to define the term “woman.”

Arrambide replied that “woman” is defined by personal opinion:

Rep. Dan Bishop: “What do you say a woman is?”

Aimee Arrambide: “I believe that everyone can identify for themselves.”

“Do you believe, then, that men can become pregnant and have abortions?” Rep. Bishop asked.

“Yes,” Arrambide declared.

Rep. Bishop did not pursue the issue further.
