Call it whatever you want, but it’s still unconstitutional to take away Americans’ Second Amendment rights, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) said Wednesday, in response to President Joe Biden’s call for greater gun “regulation.”

“When the Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment, they had just finished a war to liberate themselves from tyranny. They didn't just get back from a hunting trip. This is about your freedom,” Rep. Boebert tweeted.

Like Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, Pres. Biden’s “ultimate goal” is to outlaw all guns, Rep. Boebert tweeted:

“Want to know Joe Biden’s ultimate goal?

“Just look north to Canada’s Soy Minister, Justin Trudeau.

“They are on the path of ‘regulating’ guns, which means their end goal is that NONE are allowed.”

“I don’t care if the Democrats call it ‘gun control’, ‘gun regulation’ or anything else… it is unconstitutional by any name,” Rep. Boebert said in her next post.

Earlier this week, Canada’s Prime Minister Trudeau touted radical, new gun legislation. As Fox News explains:

“Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Monday that his government is introducing legislation to ‘implement national freeze on handgun ownership’ throughout the country.

"’What this means is that it will no longer be possible to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada,’ Trudeau said at a press conference.”

"There is no reason anyone in Canada should need guns in their everyday lives," except for sports shooting and hunting, Trudeau said.

Rep. Boebert is a vocal supporter of the Second Amendment, as she notes in her Twitter bio:

“Congresswoman for CO-03. Owner of Shooters Grill. I’m the mom who told Beto HELL NO you’re not taking our guns!”

In what became a viral video in 2019, before she became a member of Congress, Boebert confronted Democrat and then-presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke, who had declared "Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15."

And, last December, Congresswoman Boebert outraged Democrats by tweeting a photo of her family holding guns.
