PragerU Thanks TBS’s Samantha Bee for ‘Full Frontal’ Assault: ‘Over $35,000 Raised and Counting’

On her Wednesday TBS television show, “comedian” Samantha Bee dedicated a segment to attacking Dennis Prager’s PragerU for “using colorful graphics and social media to appeal to a new generation.” By Friday, PragerU was thanking her for a donation bonanza that raked in more than $35,000 in less than 48 hours.

As reported, Bee lashed out at PragerU’s education videos for daring to explain why murder is wrong or how men and women are actually different:

Comedian Samantha Bee is particularly perturbed by the existence of Dennis Prager and his online conservative media outfit “PragerU,” so much so that she devoted an entire spot segment of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on TBS on Wednesday night to poke holes in his message.

Too bad it reduced her to reaching for jokes about Prager’s lack of sex appeal, making fun of gun owners and defending “transgender babies.”

Sam showcased a bunch of material from Dennis Prager’s videos thinking she’d make him look bad, including one about the left hijacking the Boy Scouts, one explaining how murder is wrong, and even one explaining some of the psychological differences between men and women. Yeah, those notions are T-E-R-R-I-F-Y-I-N-G.

But, as it turns out, Bee was the one to get stung by the segment, as PragerU reported in a midday tweet on Friday:

“THANK YOU, Samantha Bee @FullFrontalSamB! Over $35,000 raised and counting to ensure we continue to reach more people with our "dangerous" videos. Please make a tax-deductible donation in Samantha Bee's name to help us continue our impact!”

When one Twitter reply to asked if a donation could be made “in memory” of Samantha Bee’s comedic career, PragerU responded “Yes, please!,” adding that it hopes to reach $50,000 by day’s end.

Last March, PragerU examined political activism by outspoken entertainers in a video title, “Dear Celebrities: No One Cares What You Think.” And, in August, it filed a lawsuit against YouTube for restricting its educational videos – a move cheered by Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell.

In 2018, MRC launched its TechWatch initiative “to defend conservative speech online and expose efforts by top tech companies and their employees to silence conservative voices with Orwellian speech controls.”
