God will “get rid” of America, if Democrats’ Equality Act limiting conscience and religious freedom rights becomes law, televangelist Pat Robertson warned Tuesday night on CBN:
Robertson warned viewers that they shouldn’t be fooled by the Equality Act’s pleasant-sounding name, because it would actually be “a devastating blow to religious freedom and the sanctity of America”:
"The Equality Act. It’s just — of course, it’s got a name and all, they always give the good names to these things. This is a devastating blow to religious freedom and to the sanctity of America.”
Quoting the Bible, Robertson said that the Equality Act would bring the wrath of God upon America:
“If you want to bring the judgment of God on this nation, you just keep this stuff up. You know, I was reading in Leviticus, where it says 'because of these things, the land will vomit you out.' Vomit you out.
“I think God will say, ‘I’ve had it with America. If you do this kind of stuff, I’m going to get rid of you as a nation.’”
That wrath could come in any of a number of ways – including nuclear war – Robertson said, adding that the U.S. want’s God’s blessings, not his punishment:
“And you know, there’s plenty of stuff that’s going on when you look at the potential of atomic war, when you look at the solar strike, you know, something on our grid, it can go down the line of devastation that could happen to our nation.”
“We don’t want that. We want the blessing of God, not the curse of God.”

“This is absolutely outrageous, this is an attack on your religious freedom – on the freedom of churches, the freedom of synagogues, you know, whoever – an attack on you. And, you don’t want that.”
As The Washington Examiner reported Tuesday, President Donald Trump opposes the Equality Act, which is expected to come up for a vote in the House on Friday, because it undermines parental and conscience rights:
The Trump administration does not support the Equality Act, which the House is expected to take a vote on Friday.
“The Trump administration absolutely opposes discrimination of any kind and supports the equal treatment of all; however, this bill in its current form is filled with poison pills that threaten to undermine parental and conscience rights," an administration official confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
