“Here’s what I would say is being ‘covered up’: the division within the House,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Friday in response to House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) accusation that President Donald Trump is perpetrating a “cover-up.”

Appearing on “Fox & Friends” on Friday, Graham said that Pelosi’s claim that there is no division among House Democrats over whether or not to impeach Trump is “either delusional or misleading”:

“When she said, ‘There’s no division in the House,’ she’s either delusion or she’s misleading us.

“Eighty percent, according to Colonel Sanders [Rep. Steve Cohen], the congressman from Tennessee who ate the chicken, said that eighty percent of the Judiciary Committee is already ready to impeach President Trump, House Democrats. The energy in their party is for impeachment.”

The zeal for impeachment makes it impossible for any Democrat who thinks impeachment would be unwise to become the party’s nominee in 2020 – and, that’s the reason Trump is going to win reelection, Sen. Graham said:

“You cannot be their nominee unless you say Donald Trump needs to be impeached. And, that’s why he’s going to win, because most Americans think that’s nuts.

“Fifty-three percent want to end the Russian investigation – and, the president’s doing a damn good job with the things that matter to you: keeping you safe, increasing your paycheck, and the best is yet to come. He’s got to do infrastructure. Mr. President, don’t let these guys goad you into not doing good things for the country. Do infrastructure.”
