As liberal activists and politicians push their “Defund the Police” movement, conservative commentator Mark Levin is promoting a two-minute video tribute to the trials, tribulations and challenges that police officers face by “the late, great Paul Harvey.”

Harvey, a soft-spoken, iconic, nationally-syndicated ABC News broadcaster who died in 2009, was known for weaving history and conservative commentary into his segments.

On Tuesday evening, as both figurative and literal attacks on officers plagued the nation, Levin posted to Twitter a video of Harvey’s commentary on what it takes to be “The Policeman.”

Paul Harvey’s father was a policeman who was killed in the line of duty when Paul was a young child.

In the video, Harvey explains how truly rare it is to encounter a policeman who dishonors his uniform - and why it takes "a genius" to enter the law enforcement profession.

CNSNews Reader,

The media are hard at work weaving a web of confusion, misinformation, and conspiracy surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

CNSNews covers the stories that the liberal media are afraid to touch. It drives the national debate through real, honest journalism—not by misrepresenting or ignoring the facts.

CNSNews has emerged as the conservative media’s lynchpin for original reporting, investigative reporting, and breaking news. We are part of the only organization purely dedicated to this critical mission and we need your help to fuel this fight.

Donate today to help CNSNews continue to report on topics that the liberal media refuse to touch. $25 a month goes a long way in the fight for a free and fair media.
