A fast food franchise like Chick-fil-A shouldn’t be discriminated against due to the religious views of its owner, political pundits Geraldo Rivera and Dan Bongino told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday.

Rivera and Bongino denounced the cultural bullying and business boycotts currently being waged against the Christian-owned chicken franchise, such as two recent airport bans.

Chick-fil-A should be judged on the quality of its chicken, not on any type of “political litmus test,” Rivera said:

“I detest people putting a political litmus test on a business. Any business, but certainly a fast food chain, what you judge Chick-fil-A by is the quality of its chicken. Period.

“I don’t know if we can go to McDonald’s now, go to every other Burger King, and The Five Guys and all of the rest of it and say, ‘What is the political affiliation or religious belief of the owner?’ You can’t go down that road, and liberals are so intolerant, they are — political correctness does not begin to describe how they are.”

Bongino said liberals have resorted to cultural bullying of Chick-fil-A because the suppression of opposing voices is “their only weapon,” since facts and data aren’t on their side:

“Here’s the deal: when conservatives lose elections, they change their strategy. When liberals lose elections, they want to change the rules.

“We saw this with the Electoral College, they want to stack the Supreme Court. When they can’t do that, they use the culture to bully people. See, their only weapon, because they rely strictly on emotion, and not facts and data – they’ve been immunized to that stuff a long time ago – their only weapon is to use the culture to try to suppress opposing voices. That’s why this ridiculous attack on Chick-fil-A.

“And, good for the Trump Administration for fighting back. New rules, libs – see how you like it now that the government investigates you for discrimination.”

As The Daily Signal reports, the Trump Administration is investigating two airports for religious discrimination against Chick-fil-A:

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced Friday that it will investigate whether two airports violated federal law or transportation regulations by denying a contract to Chick-fil-A on religious grounds.

“The Department has received complaints alleging discrimination by two airport operators against a private company due to the expression of the owner’s religious beliefs,” DOT said in a statement. “FAA’s Office of Civil Rights has notified the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) that it has opened investigations into these complaints.”
