“I want them to be happy!” former professional and college football star running back Herschel Walker said Wednesday, offering to work with airlines to send people who want to abolish police forces to countries that don’t have them.
Walker, a college Heisman Trophy winner who played 12 seasons in the NFL, took to Twitter to respond to calls by liberal politicians and activists to “Defund the Police” and eliminate police departments across the U.S., Walker:
“For all these people who don’t want any police, I’d love to meet with American Airlines, Delta, and Southwest and make a deal to fly them to countries that don’t have police. I want them to be happy!”
On Sunday, Walker offered to serve as a Black leader to help bring all members of Congress together to solve the problem of police brutality – if that’s truly their goal – tweeting:
“We’re civilized people. Why can’t true congressmen/women and senators get together with leaders from all ethnic groups, both left and right, to find solutions... unless certain people in Washington don’t want to see a change. I’m volunteering myself as one of the black leaders.”
Walker has also retweeted recent posts by his son, Christian, denouncing both “people running around burning buildings” and Democrats’ ever-growing legacy of mistreating free-thinking Black Americans:
“My dad grew up in the deep south as a poor black man and turned himself into a notable athlete, business man, and person. No, I don’t feel bad for “oppressed” people who run around burning buildings down. I’m not sorry I’m grateful for my country/the opportunities it’s given me”
“Democrats were the party of the slave-owners and the KKK. The plantation is no longer physical, it’s mental. Just look at how free-thinking black are treated....We’re hunted down like runaway slaves. The democrat plantation doesn’t own me nor do white liberals.”
