Joe Biden, Democrats’ presumptive presidential candidate, has forgotten which country he’s campaigning in, conservative commentator and Blexit leader Candace Owens said Friday.
Owens took to Twitter to blast Biden’s call for a national mask mandate during a COVID-19 briefing Thursday, in which the former vice president declared that, “It’s not about your rights.”
In her tweet, Owens suggested Biden must think he’s running in Iran if he supports these kind of mandates:
“So @JoeBiden is calling for a national mask mandate. It seems this week, our senile candidate believes he is running for President of Iran.”
“Let’s institute a mask mandate nationwide, starting immediately,” Biden told Thursday’s press event. Biden’s vice presidential pick, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), called the mandate “leadership” and promised that a Biden-Harris administration would issue it:
“What real leadership looks like is Joe Biden, willing to speak up, sometimes telling us the stuff that we don’t necessarily want to hear, but we need to know. And the need for this mandatory mask-wearing will also be about what Joe has articulated, and what a Biden-Harris administration will do.”
Owens' Blexit movement seeks to introduce conservative values to urban communities.
