Addressing Americans following Thursday’s deadly Kabul Airport bombing, President Joe Biden promised that the U.S. will strike back at the terrorists responsible, at some point.

Biden said that the U.S. will strike back at the terrorists, someday, whenever it chooses to do so:

“I’ve also ordered my commanders to develop operational plans to strike ISIS-K assets, leadership, and facilities.

“We will respond with force and precision at our time, at the place we choose, and the moment of our choosing.”

Last Friday, however, Pres. Biden vowed there would be a “swift” military response to “any attack on our forces or disruption of our operations at the airport”:

“We’ve made clear to the Taliban that any attack — any attack on our forces or disruption of our operations at the airport – will be met with a swift and forceful response.”

Biden also promised that the U.S. will not be deterred in “our mission” to evacuate Afghanistan by August 31, and said that he’s ordered his commanders to meet the Taliban-dictated deadline:

“And as I’ve been in constant contact with our senior military leaders — and I mean constant, around the clock — and our commanders on the ground and throughout the day, they made it clear that we can and we must complete this mission, and we will.  And that’s what I’ve ordered them to do.

“We will not be deterred by terrorists.  We will not let them stop our mission.  We will continue the evacuation.”

“Here is what you need to know: These ISIS terrorists will not win.  We will rescue the Americans who are there.  We will get out our Afghan allies out, and our mission will go on.”
