Actor Chris Pratt surprised four deployed servicemen and their families with a pre-Father’s Day video call this week.
Pratt wished the servicemen a happy Father’s Day and told them that they and their families would be treated to an advance screening of his upcoming movie, “The Tomorrow War,” People reports. Additionally, Pratt told the servicemen that he would be bringing their family members together for “a special dinner” prior to the movie screening:
The actor surprised four deployed servicemen and their families virtually ahead of the release of his film The Tomorrow War. "We got a special treat for you," he said to them as seen in a video exclusive to PEOPLE.
"We're going to give you guys, your families at least, a special dinner and a sneak peek of the movie that y'all can watch together," Pratt, 41, said. "That's coming from us to you with a tremendous amount of love and gratitude for your service."
This isn’t the first time Pratt has honored the military. As The Daily Wire reports, earlier this month, the actor paid tribute to those who have given their lives in service of their country:
Actor Chris Pratt honored fallen military men and women on Memorial Day with a moving Instagram post that captioned photos of family members and fellow service members grieving those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
Pratt accompanied the photos with a lengthy caption telling followers to please show “support for our fallen” and asking people not to “b**** and moan about America” in the comment section, adding, “never forget your right to free expression is paid for in blood.”
