On Tuesday, presumptive Democrat presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden announced his pick to be his running mate: California Senator Kamala Harris – who said last year that she believes the women who accused Biden of unwanted touching.
The declaration by Sen. Harris was reported in an April 3, 2019 article in The Hill, titled “Harris: ‘I Believe’ Biden accusers”:
"I believe them and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it," Harris said at a presidential campaign event in Nevada.
Several women have accused Biden of touching them inappropriately, including a Democrat former Nevada state lawmaker and a Connecticut fundraiser attendee, The Hill reports.
On Tuesday, Biden tweeted that it is his “great honor” to announce that Sen. Harris is his chosen running mate:
“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.”
