Jim Carrey Suggests 2020 Republican Convention Might Have Driven Abe Lincoln to Suicide

 Actor Jim Carrey sent out a tweet on August 24 suggesting that if President Abraham Lincoln had seen this year’s Republican National Convention it would have driven him to suicide.

The tweet included a drawing of Lincoln, as if sitting in the Lincoln Memorial, with the double barrels of a shotgun inserted into his mouth and his right thumb on the trigger.

The tweet said: “If Lincoln had seen the lineup of liars, thieves, religious hypocrites and racist ne’er do wells that would appear at the RNC in 2020…”
