(CNSNews.com) - David Schoen, a lawyer who is representing former President Donald Trump in his second Senate impeachment trial, played videotape during the proceedings today that showed many prominent liberals, including President Joe Biden and senior members of Congress, expressing their desire for people to engage in aggressive acts--but presumably metaphorically.
“The House managers spoke about rhetoric, about a constant drumbeat of heated language,” Schoen said introducing the video. “As I’m sure everybody watching expected, we need to show you some of their own words.”
“I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be,” says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) at the beginning of the video.
“We got to be ready to throw a punch,” Pelosi says.
"There needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there is unrest in our lives," says Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D.-Mass.).
“Donald Trump—I think you need to go back and punch him in the face,” says Sen. Jon Tester (D.-Montana).
“I feel like punching him,” says Sen. Cory Booker (D.-N.J.)
“If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,” says Joe Biden.
“I will go and take Trump out tonight,” says Rep. Maxine Waters (D.-Calif.).
And there are more.
