Hillary Clinton is a walking, talking cliche who spouts decades-old sound bites that were bad enough when her husband first delivered them but are painfully anachronistic today. Same old material, same old demagoguery.

I pray that freedom lovers and patriots will muster the same passion in defending this nation as those attacking it. The first step is to recognize what's going on. Is it possible that even some rank-and-file Democrats can set aside their allegiance to party affiliation long enough to open their eyes to it?

Lately I've shared my lament that in America today we are witnessing a surreal transformation of the greatest nation in history. Last week, a spate of headlines made this point better than I could make it on my own.

I don't believe American conservatism and traditional values are dead, but they are very, very sick. They need a doctor — in the form of a fearless proponent of our ideas, which spawned the greatest nation in history and can help to bring it back.

Last week's Supreme Court rulings on Obamacare (Burwell) and same-sex marriage (Obergefell) were enormously dispiriting for reasons beyond the substantive issues of socialized medicine and same-sex marriage. In both cases, the court flouted the Constitution, the rule of law, the English language and the truth itself. People who appreciate the unique American system of government and those who value truth itself should be very concerned.

People should be concerned by Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby's behavior, but it is especially alarming when you consider that she is engaging in the same type of behavior that she is using her state power to criminalize.

Of all the annoying things President Obama does, one of the worst is his hectoring Republicans and conservatives for their partisanship when he is the quintessential divisive partisan.

If you doubt that Christians are fair game for ridicule by the cultural left, take a look at the hit piece on Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia by Jeffrey Tayler for Salon. In the leftist-dominated media culture, you can, with limitless vile, insult individuals and groups outside those protected by political correctness with impunity and often with confidence that you'll be praised.

It's to be expected that I hardly agree with President Obama on any political issues, as we have radically different worldviews, but what I don't understand is why there isn't more alarm from all quarters about the potentially existential threats to this nation posed by his policies.

Don't you find it a bit odd that two glaringly contradictory narratives surround Hillary Clinton's bid for the presidency — inevitability and "she's in trouble"?
June 5, 2015, 7:07 AM EDT
President Obama's stunning declaration that the global image of the United States has greatly improved under his administration is another example of his ideology and narcissism's blinding him to his many policy failures.

I have often maintained that threats to freedom of expression in this country come predominantly — probably exclusively — from the political left. The censoring of a pro-life student club in a Las Vegas high school is a recent egregious example.

There was a mostly minority-on-minority bloodbath in Baltimore over the Memorial Day weekend, with 26 people shot and nine dead, and the main reaction we hear from the left is "racism." How do perpetual race activists ever expect to be viewed as credible when they react to every incident, irrespective of the facts, as racially motivated?

Could we please work hard to change the Washington climate instead of the global climate with our next president? That should be an ambitious enough goal to keep us busy.

I think Hillary Clinton has learned (or believes she has learned) a great deal from Barack Obama over the years, though none of it has to do with statesmanship. It has to do with how a presidential candidate positions herself with the electorate.

With $18 trillion of debt, how can Obama even consider spending more money we don't have, especially when he's improperly diverted so much money he promised to allocate to infrastructure?

At every turn, the liberal Mark Halperin was trying to discredit Sen. Ted Cruz as a Hispanic by trying to trap him into revealing that he doesn't qualify as a person who could attract Hispanic votes through identity politics, and at every turn, Cruz showed that he could do so indeed if he chose to; he chooses not to because he is about economic growth and opportunity for all Americans.

It is the prerogative of Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby to prosecute the police officers involved in the incident that led to the death of Freddie Gray if the facts and law warrant it, but I am concerned that Mosby is pursuing something other than criminal justice.

Three more Republicans declare their intention to be presidential nominees, and the leftist media, as if on cue, pounce on their prey like panthers.
May 1, 2015, 8:35 AM EDT
I read an opinion piece this week by liberal writer Joan Walsh decrying the presumed jubilation of "white America" and the media over a mother's public spanking of her son for participating in the Baltimore riots.
