( - Why is a second-hand whistleblower complaint being taken so seriously, before the facts are in?

Because Democrats have got "nothing else," Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) told Fox News's Laura Ingraham Monday night;

"The Michael Cohen hearing didn't work for them, the John Dean hearing didn't work for them, the Bob Mueller hearing didn't work for them," Jordan said.

"Last week, the Corey Lewandowski hearing didn't work for them -- so they said, shazam! I know what we'll do, let's say President Trump coordinated with some foreign government. Let's see if that works.

"Even though they've done that for the last two years with Russia, they're now going to try it with Ukraine. So They've got nothing else. They're out to get this president, and this is the best they've got, which is laughable."

Ingraham noted that the latest Trump controversy has been a "shot in the arm" to impeachment, as more Democrats join the call to go in that direction. In fact, Democrats planned to meet Tuesday afternoon to discuss impeachment.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) predicted it won't work:

"What they'll soon find out is what the rest of America has found out on the two previous allegations is that (Rep.) Adam Schiff is the young man who cried wolf. And we're going to see that with this, because this is all going to start to unravel.

"You know, it is interesting. The Democrats were really for Ukraine meddling in the election before they were against it. And that's what all the evidence shows." According to Meadows, "When the story comes out, it'll be the Democrats that will have a problem, not President Trump."

Jordan said Democrats always accuse Republicans of what they're doing, and he said that's true in the latest controversy:

"You know, I always go back to what Chuck Schumer said on January 3rd, 2017. He said, you mess with the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday of getting back at you. This is one of thos six ways. Because we don't know who this whistle-blower is who never even first-hand saw this evidence, but he's alleging the whole thing. And again this is what the sequel to the Trump-Russia collusion is that we watched for two years.

Meadows predicted that if and when the whistleblower's details emerge, "ultimately the president will be exonerated."

Meadows also turned the focus on Hunter Biden, Joe's hapless son, who -- witihout qualification except that of his birth -- got a cushy job on the board of a Ukraine gas company.

"You know, we said, how did Hunter Biden get this job?" Meadows asked. "Well, we now know because of some reporting that just happened that Joe Biden meets with the prime minister of Ukraine, and within 30 days, voila, Hunter Biden has a job in the Ukraine because he has got all this expertise. You know, it smells a little fishy."

Laura Ingraham said, "Everyone I know who works in this field, including throughout Asia, I'm talking about big-deal people, this was an open secret about Hunter Biden. Everyone knows he's getting a sweetheart deal.

"Like, what the heck, this guy has no experience at all. You cannot get on a payroll of that kind of company with that kind of cash unless you are connected with someone who can pull the levers of power or you have big experience, big knowledge, big expertise. He had one of those two things."
