(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) sent a “Dear Colleague” letter to Democrats in the House of Representatives on Wednesday concluding that Joe Biden has won the presidential election and discussing some of the agenda items she seeks to pursue.

"This afternoon, Joe Biden made it clear that the Biden-Harris ticket will have enough votes to win the Electoral College,” said Pelosi.

“The American people have made their choice clear at the ballot box, and are sending Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House,” she said.

“Ours will be a government that fights for the people’s interest, not the special interests--championing progress for seniors, veterans, immigrants, LGBTQ Americans, women, young people and frontline communities,” she said.

Here is the full text of Pelosi’s “Dear Colleague” letter:

"Dear Democratic Colleague,

"This afternoon, Joe Biden made it clear that the Biden-Harris ticket will have enough votes to win the Electoral College.

"The American people have made their choice clear at the ballot box, and are sending Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House.  Joe Biden’s election will be historic, propelled by the votes of a record-shattering 70 million Americans – the most votes ever received by a presidential ticket in American history.

"Our Democratic House Majority, working in partnership with the Democratic White House, will now have the opportunity to deliver extraordinary progress. Together, we will continue to deliver on our successful For The People agenda: lower health care costs, bigger paychecks by building green infrastructure and cleaner government.  Ours will be a government that fights for the people’s interest, not the special interests – championing progress for seniors, veterans, immigrants, LGBTQ Americans, women, young people and frontline communities.

"Though it was a challenging election, all of our candidates – both Frontline and Red to Blue – made us proud.  Their drumbeat For The People enabled Democrats to Hold The House and flipped critical battleground states, building our margins across the board.  Our discipline in building a massive battlefield proved essential in keeping the Majority.  Our success enabled us to win in our ‘mobilization, messaging and money,’ forcing Republicans to defend their own territory.

"The right to vote and to have that vote counted as cast is the very foundation of our American Democracy.  We must remain patient as votes are tallied and races are called, and we must remain absolutely committed to ensuring that every American voter has a say in their democracy.

"Thank you for your leadership.

"NANCY"
