(CNS News) -- When asked whether she supports Joe Biden’s plan -- should he be elected president -- to allow biological males who identify as females to use the women’s bathrooms and locker rooms in federally funded schools, Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) said, “I don’t know” but added that she sees “pluses” and “minuses” to the policy.

At the Capitol on July 2, CNS News asked Senator Feinstein, “On his [Biden’s] campaign website he said that he will require federally funded schools to let biological males who identify as females use female bathrooms and locker rooms. Do you support that?”

The senator said, “I don’t know to be honest with you. I see pluses and I see minuses in terms of people’s acceptance of it. So, I would just go slow.”

On Democrat Joe Biden’s presidential campaign website, it states, “Guaranteeing transgender students have access to facilities based on their gender identity. On his first day in office, Biden will reinstate the Obama-Biden guidance revoked by the Trump-Pence Administration, which will restore transgender students’ access to sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms in accordance with their gender identity. He will direct his Department of Education to vigorously enforce and investigate violations of transgender students’ civil rights.”
