(CNSNews.com) - Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway said she's not concerned about the polls, especially the national polls that put Democrat Joe Biden ahead of Donald Trump at this moment in time.
Conway told Fox News on Saturday, there's still a lot of "fluidity" in the race, and she compared Joe Biden, never straying far from his basement studio, as "the blind date you haven't yet met."
I think there's a certain connective tissue between him (President Trump) and the public. Also I can argue Biden should be at 60 percent in all these states. You can make him whatever you want him to be.
He's a cipher. He's like the blind date you haven't yet met. He's handsome. He's funny. He's responsible. He loves little kids. He puts his dishes in the sink and eventually, the doorbell rings and you have to open it, and there's Joe Biden, not the person you thought you were going to get.
I would also tell you this, that we're going to see a lot of fluidity in this, that's right -- that's correct -- a lot of fluidity in this, fluidity in this race, still to come. But everybody who bets against Donald Trump doesn't remember 2016.
Conway said the virus-induced lockdown works for Joe Biden. "It has helped him. It doesn't work for the rest of the country."
Conway said her focus is on 12 or 14 different state polls, which matter more than national polls.
"And in most of those states, you find Biden and Trump both under 50 percent and within a few points of each other," she said.
