(CNSNews.com) - As he frequently does, President Joe Biden needed someone to tell him which way he was supposed to go, right on the grounds of the White House.

Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Monday surprised White House groundskeeper Dale Haney, joining him at a tree-planting marking Haney's 50 years of service.

When the event ended, Biden walked away, then asked, 'Which way are we going?" when someone redirected him.

"This way, Sir," one of his handlers said.

"How 'bout if I want to go that way?" Biden said. "I notice how much freedom I have," the president said as he followed his wife back to the executive mansion.
