( – Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) reacted to the delay in reporting the Iowa Caucus results on Tuesday, calling it “a gong show” and pointing out that the Democratic presidential candidates are in favor of government-run health care.

In an impromptu interview with Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom,” Kennedy reacted to the news that due to reporting “inconsistencies,” the Democrats don’t know yet who won the Iowa Caucus.

“Well it was a gong show. I mean I don't know who was in charge, but whoever it was, I wouldn't let them manage a food truck. I feel so bad for the people of Iowa,” Kennedy said.

“Bernie Sanders says he wants to take on health care and all these other big things as well,” Fox News’ Ed Henry pointed out.

“Since most of my Democratic friends are running as socialists, I guess it's appropriate that everybody gets a trophy. Everybody’s treated the same, but you’re right. These folks want to take over and run health care for America. I don't think so,” Kennedy said.

As reported, the Iowa Democrat Party said they found “inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results.”

“In addition to the tech systems being used to tabulate results, we are also using photos of results and a paper trail to validate that all results match and ensure that we have confidence and accuracy in the numbers we report. This is simply a reporting issue. The app did not go down, and this is not a hack or an intrusion. The underlying data and paper trail is sound, and will simply take time to further report the results,” Communications Director Mandy McClure said in a statement.
