(CNSNews.com) - Former Vice President Joe Biden, who is the current frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, says that if he becomes president he will make it possible for almost 11 million illegal aliens to become citizens of the United States.
“Biden will immediately begin working with Congress to modernize our system, with a priority on keeping families together by providing a roadmap to citizenship for nearly 11 million undocumented immigrants,” says the immigration plan Biden has posted on his campaign website.
The plan is called: “The Biden Plan for Securing Our Values as a Nation of Immigrants.”
The plan attacks the way President Donald Trump has handled the immigration issue and enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws.
“His obsession with building a wall does nothing to address security challenges while costing taxpayers billions of dollars,” it says.
“Trump has waged an unrelenting assault on our values and our history as a nation of immigrants,” says Biden’s plan.
“It’s wrong, and it stops when Joe Biden is elected president,” it says.
“The United States deserves an immigration policy that reflects our highest values as a nation,” says the Biden plan.
“Immigrants are essential to the strength of our country and the U.S. economy,” it says. “When immigrants choose to come to the U.S., they bring their unique traditions and contributions to the rich cultural tapestry of our country.”
