Great post "cappicola". In Pelosi's warped world "ample time" would be 72hrs instead of 48hrs. They won't this done ASAP, read or not, not to mention 23rd hour amendments in the middle of the night. God what a travesty of Government this is. Obama/Pelosi: "Open, honest, bi-partisan discussion with COMPLETE transparency on all issues". How could they openly LIE about these "promises" and expect Americans to believe them?? A look at the recent polls says that these Americans are beginning to catch on to the BS, PARTICULARLY Independents. Being from CA., Pelosi will obviously stay, but Boxer may not be so lucky. Maybe there IS hope to escape from "Dante" Obama's Inferno !

Why don't you folks who worry about this proposed change ask for a copy of the bill? You can ask you congress person to send you a copy so you can see for yourself what is being written. The present system is broke and cannot be fixed with a band aid. You or I could be without insurance at any moment if something changes in our job or place of residence. It is impossible to buy insurance for expensive pre existing conditions. Why don't we try a single payer system like the rest of the developed world uses. There are many different plans, so one of them should meet our needs. We could even save money as none of them uses as much taxpayer dollars as our non system.

Hmmmm. Will it be posted AFTER it passes in which case it's moot - OR - will it be posted BEFORE it's voted on in which case it might beget a National firestorm? Nothing quite like sloughing off an entire Nation's legitimate concerns with patronizing - often incongruous - "tweaker"-ishly nervous banter all for the lack of something meaningful to say. But, to her credit, Ms. Pelosi has truly mastered the art of speaking volumes and mostly all of it with a forked tongue. I sincerely hope that her constituents in a nearly-bankrupt California are taking copious notes.
