(CNSNews.com) – Democratic presidential candidate held onto his 11-point lead over GOP presidential candidate John McCain in the latest Gallup poll released Tuesday.

Obama was ahead 52 percent to 41 percent, which is exactly the same as Monday’s report.

Meanwhile, Gallup found that the size of Obama’s lead varies between seven and 10 points depending on voter turnout.

If turnout follows patterns similar to most presidential elections, Obama leads McCain by seven points – 51 percent to 44 percent. If turnout reflects voters’ self-reported likelihood to vote and campaign interest and not necessarily their voting history, Obama leads by 10 points – 52 percent to 41 percent.

The latest poll was conducted Oct. 18-20 from a sample of 2,784 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points.
