MINDEN, Iowa (AP) — More than three dozen people are injured after a bus carrying high school students from Wyoming to a national band competition crashed and rolled over in western Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol told KETV that 39 people have been taken to hospitals in nearby Omaha, Neb. after the crash on the Interstate 80 near Minden early Monday.

Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker says none of the injuries are believed to be life threatening, although the driver is seriously injured after being pinned inside the bus.

Investigators believe the bus blew a tire.

The State Patrol says the bus was taking the students from Casper, Wyo., to a band competition in Indiana.

Danker and the Iowa Department of Public Safety did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
