New York (AP) - Prosecutors have leveled a new allegation against a New York City woman accused of plotting to kill the baby of her husband's mistress.

Brooklyn prosecutors said Thursday that an indictment alleges Kisha Jones called a hospital impersonating an administrator and tried to order the premature baby taken off life support.

Jones has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, attempted abortion and other charges. Her lawyer says she never made the call.

Authorities initially charged Jones in December.

They say she tricked the pregnant mistress into taking a drug that could have caused an abortion. The baby was born two months early, but survived and is healthy. They say she also plotted to get hospital staff to feed the infant tainted liquid.
