ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Casey Anthony trial is scheduled to resume after abruptly being put on hold over the weekend.

Attorneys for the central Florida mother charged with murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee are expected to continue calling witnesses Monday.

They also were expected to call witnesses Saturday, but after meeting with lawyers from both sides in the case, the judge said a "legal matter" had come up and he adjourned court until Monday.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted of that charge. Her defense attorneys claim Caylee Anthony accidentally drowned in the family's swimming pool.

On Friday, Casey Anthony's attorneys showed jurors several photos of Caylee climbing a ladder into an above-ground pool as her grandmother supported her from behind.
