CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — Firefighters are battling a multi-alarm blaze in southern New Jersey that's spread from an abandoned tire factory to nearby row homes.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire in Camden broke out around 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the vacant Reliable Tire Co. factory building. Philadelphia's WPVI-TV reports the company moved out several years ago.

Dozens of firefighters from Camden and surrounding communities are battling the blaze in near 100-degree temperatures.

Television news photos showed flames shooting through the roof of the three-story brick factory building and firefighters hosing down the roofs of row homes on the same block.

The Camden mayor's office says several homes have been evacuated.
