PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — The producer of ABC's "Cougar Town" is trying some guerilla warfare to get his show noticed.

ABC hasn't scheduled the comedy's third season yet but hasn't cancelled it either.

So, executive producer Bill Lawrence rented out the bar at a hotel in Pasadena, Calif., where ABC is bringing its executives and stars this week for news conferences. He's inviting dozens of reporters for free food and drinks.

His message is, don't forget about him.

ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee says he expects the show will be back in March.

The series stars Courteney Cox as a man-hungry divorcee and was last seen in May 2011.
