Small plane crashes at Utah school; students safe

WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) — Officials say no students were injured after a small plane crashed into an elementary school in Utah.

An employee at Columbia Elementary School in West Jordan says the plane hit the side of a building at about 12:20 p.m. Thursday.

No classrooms were struck, and children were being kept inside as emergency personnel responded to the scene.

It wasn't immediately clear if anyone aboard the plane was injured.
