( - Possible 2012 presidential candidate Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) told that the Obama administration should put the health care law “on hold” after federal judge Roger Vinson’s ruling that the law is unconstitutional.

Before his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), asked Thune, “The federal judge in Florida who ruled that the health care law is unconstitutional said that his ruling is the functional equivalent to an injunction against the law. Do you think, given that, the Obama administration should stop implementing the health care law?”

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.)

Thune responded, “I think they definitely ought to, until this thing gets heard at the upper court level, the Supreme Court, I would like to see them put it on hold. I don’t think this thing ought to be moving forward; the courts have made it very clear.”
He continued, “It’s obviously going to get appealed and there probably will be an opportunity for the Supreme Court to hear the case and rule on it at some point but between now and then, you’ve got two lower courts who have ruled on this thing and the ruling’s been very clear and I think that the Obama administration ought to adhere to it.”
