WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Andy Roddick's latest Wimbledon bid came to an end in the third round with a 7-6 (2), 7-6 (2), 6-4 loss to Feliciano Lopez.

Lopez, a two-time quarterfinalist at the All England Club, hit 28 aces to Roddick's 23 in a superb serving display on Centre Court on Friday.

The eighth-seeded Roddick has reached the final three times in his 11 visits to the All England Club. He entered the match with a 7-0 record against Lopez, his most recent win coming at Queen's ahead of Wimbledon.

Roddick saved one match point when Lopez netted a forehand. But the 44th-ranked Spaniard sealed the win when Roddick went wide with a backhand.
