TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's official IRNA news agency says a scientist has been assassinated in Tehran.

The IRNA report gives no other details, but the hard-line news website says the man was a nuclear scientist and was targeted by assailants on a motorcycle.

Several Iranian nuclear scientists have been murdered in recent years in attacks Iran has blamed on the U.S. and Israel.
