(CNSNews.com) Rapper Snoop Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dogg, said in an interview with GQ magazine that he would “love” to show his kids “the right way” to smoke weed, but he wouldn’t push it on them.

"It's not that I would ever push weed on our kids," said Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, in the January issue of GQ, "but if they wanted to, I would love to show them how, the right way, so that way they won't get nothing put in their shit or overdose or trying some shit that ain't clean."

Snoop’s three kids range in age from 12 to 18. He was arrested a year ago for marijuana possession on his tour bus at a border inspection point in Texas and was issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession.

Snoop also said marijuana is “from the earth” not “man-made” so “it’s just like eating a vegetable.”

"It's from the earth—it's not some man-made s---," he told GQ magazine. "It's actually growing from the ground straight to you, so it's just like eating a vegetable. You know what I'm saying? Cancer and diseases that never had a cure, now all of a sudden you got people taking chemotherapy, and they're also having a toke, and they live longer."
