Police: 3-year-old girl fatally shot in Detroit

DETROIT (AP) — Police say a 3-year-old girl has been fatally shot by a stray bullet in Detroit following an apparent dispute between neighbors.

Police say the girl was shot about 9:40 p.m. Sunday while inside a home. Police say the gunfire came from outside.

Sgt. Eren Stephens tells the Detroit Free Press a bullet went through a wall of the home before striking the girl. Stephens tells The Detroit News that police are investigating whether shots were aimed at the home.

Police say no arrests have been made as of Monday morning.
