WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will visit the site of the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City later this month.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest says Obama will get a briefing on the progress of construction on One World Trade Center, the skyscraper being built on the site of the terror attacks. The tower, previously known as Freedom Tower, surpasses the Empire State Building as New York's tallest skyscraper.

The president will travel to New York on June 14. He was last at the World Trade Center site in September for the tenth anniversary of the attacks.
