WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says "the United States will always have Israel's back."

Obama spoke in the Oval Office alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid heightened tensions over Iran's disputed nuclear program. Obama says both he and Netanyahu prefer to solve the issues with Iran diplomatically.

Obama says that while he believes the window for diplomacy still exists, all options are still on the table when it comes to dealing with Iran.

The two leaders are speaking before heading into an afternoon of meetings.
