(CNSNews.com) - When Sen. Barack Obama is ready to announce his choice of a running mate, he’ll do so by email.
His campaign is urging people who want to be the first to know to “sign up today” at the Obama ’08 Web site.
“You have helped build this movement from the bottom up, and Barack wants you to be part of this important moment,” said Campaign Manager David Plouffe on the Obama ’08 Web site.
“You will receive an email the moment Barack makes his decision…Once you've signed up, please forward this email to your friends, family, and coworkers to let them know about this special opportunity,” Plouffe said.
“No other campaign has done this before. You can be part of this important moment.”
The Obama campaign is eager to gather as many email addresses as possible for get-out-the-vote and fund-raising purposes.
