( – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), in appearance on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopolous” on Sunday, said Democrats “own Obamacare,” and all its flaws will be “front and center” in 2014, if Republicans don’t mess it up.

“To our Democratic friends: You own Obamacare, and it’s gonna be the political gift that keeps on giving, so the shutdown will be old news next year. Obamacare’s flaws will be front and center next year in 2014 if we don’t screw this up,” Graham said.

The senator noted that the Obamacare portal has had technical difficulties since the day it was officially launched on Oct. 1.

“What breaks my heart is for the last 12 days, you’ve had a complete meltdown of the portal called Obamacare. The whole system is just not working, and we’re overshadowing how badly Obamacare’s been rolled out,” Graham said.

Graham called on House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Sen. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to lead the effort in the House and the Senate to pass something that does not defund or delay the Affordable Care Act but would be “good government.”

“We never had the leverage through the shutdown to repeal or replace. That was unrealistic,” he said.
