(CNSNews.com) – With immigration reform emerging as a major issue this year, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) in April mocked some of his GOP colleagues while speaking in Madison Township, Ohio, saying the “appetite” amongst them for immigration reform is “this is too hard.”

“I don’t know whether we’re going to get to it this year or not. I think we should, but the appetite, the appetite amongst my colleagues for doing this is not real good,” he said in a speech at the Middletown Rotary Club on April 24, adding, “Here’s the attitude: ‘Oh, don’t make me do this. Oh, this is too hard.’”

“You should hear them. You know, we get elected to make choices,” Boehner said.
