List of refuges in lawsuit over gene-altered crops

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A list by state of national wildlife refuges and complexes targeted in a lawsuit by environmental groups seeking to block planting of genetically-altered crops on U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service land in the southeast:

— Alabama: Eufaula, Wheeler and Key Cave

— Arkansas: Cache River, Bald Knob, Wapanocca, Felsenthal, Holla Bend, White River

— Kentucky: Clarks River

— Louisiana: Central Louisiana Complex, North Louisiana Complex, Lacassine, Tensas River

— Mississippi: North Mississippi Complex, Noxubee, St. Catherine Creek, Theodore Roosevelt Complex

— North Carolina: Alligator River, Mattamuskeet, Pee Dee, Pocosin Lakes

— South Carolina: Santee, Tennessee, West Tennessee Complex

— Tennessee: Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge.
