CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Nine women and eight men have been sworn in as jurors for the murder trial of a Florida mother accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter.

The swearing in Friday concluded an exhaustive selection process that took nearly two weeks.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter Caylee. The 25-year-old mother has pleaded not guilty and has said a baby sitter kidnapped the child.

The girl's decomposed body was found with duct tape over the mouth of her skull in December 2008, not far from where she had lived with her mother.

Opening statements are set for Tuesday. If convicted, Casey Anthony could face the death penalty.
