(CNSNews.com) – Homosexual activists, a significant part of the Democratic base in the 2008 election, heckled President Barack Obama Tuesday in New Mexico.

After Obama left a town hall-style meeting at the home of an Albuquerque family, where he talked about middle class and economic issues, the presidential motorcade was greeted with protesters waving rainbow flags, according to a White House press poll report.

“Hey Obama can’t you see, we demand equality,” they chanted, according to the news pool report.

Homosexual activist groups have complained that the Obama administration has not moved fast enough on candidate Obama’s campaign pledges to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, and the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy in the military.
