(CNSNews.com) – Actor Chris Colfer of Fox’s hit show “Glee” said he would like to see President Barack Obama follow states like Connecticut on the federal level and legalize same-sex marriage. He also said he wants the federal income tax “diminished” but does not think it is going to happen.

CNSNews.com asked Colfer what he would like to see President Barack Obama change while in office.

“Oh gosh, well the income taxes would be nice but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I don’t know. I mean, of course, you know, he did definitely promise, you know, to be an advocate for gay rights so that’d be great to see that, you know, all that storm come settling,” he said on the red carpet of the White House Correspondents’ dinner.

When asked for specifics, Colfer said, “I think just the basics, you know, the marriage and you know, equal rights for every one and to follow some states like, you know, Connecticut, for example – you know, all that jazz.”

On the federal income tax, Colfer added, “I would like to see it diminished.”
