WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House is letting out a few details about Tuesday night's state dinner for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and it will be Grammy-winning singer-songwriter James Taylor providing the entertainment.

In addition to featuring the Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer, the entertainment for Merkel will include the National Symphony Orchestra.

And what's on the menu? Tuna tartare with rye crisps and petite filet with Maryland crab ravioli. And Merkel's sure to find this intriguing: Dessert will be an apple strudel made from a recipe that's a twist on traditional German strudel. It's made with a farmer's cheese from Vermont.

The Obamas are serving dinner in the Rose Garden, where they're mixing long and round tables, covered with white and silver linens.
