Defund Obamacare? Boehner Says: 'I Am Committed To Doing Everything' to Stop It

House minority Leader John Boehner told CNSNews.com during his weekly press conference on Thursday that he is “committed to doing everything” to stop Obamacare from being implemented.

(CNSNews.com) - When asked by CNSNews.com whether he would defund Obamacare as a means of stopping it--considering that President Barack Obama could veto any effort by a future Republican Congress to outright repeal the program--House Minority Leader John Boehner (R.-Ohio) said today he is “committed to doing everything” to prevent the health care legislation Obama signed in March from actually being implemented.

CNSNews.com asked Boehner, “Mr. Leader, given the fact that President Obama will likely veto any effort to repeal the health care legislation, are you committed to--

Boehner interrupted, “Well, that’s rather pessimistic.”

CNSNews.com then asked, “Well, given that, are you committed to de-funding the health care bill if the--

Boehner responded, “I am committed to doing everything that I can do and our team can do to prevent Obamacare from being implemented. I believe that this bill will ruin the best health care system in the world and I believe that it will bankrupt our country. Now, when I say everything, I mean everything.”

In May of this year, Boehner voiced his commitment to repeal the health care bill if the GOP takes back the majority in Congress.
